Claudia Berguson

Claudia Berguson is an Associate Professor of Norwegian and Scanidianvian Studies at Pacific Lutheran University in Tacoma, Washington. She received her Ph.D. in 2003 from the University of Washington. Her main areas of research and writing include the historical novels of Sigrid Undset, Norwegian-American immigrant literature and migrant literature of contemporary Scandinavia. Dr. Berguson has published several articles on Sigrid Undset’s trilogy Kristin Lavransdatter. Her most recent research includes Undset’s writing in exile in the 1940s and immigrant literature from the 19th to the 21st century.

For Nordic Studies Press, she translated Pakkis with Ingeborg Kongslien.
